Cranston police arrest 3 for assault, attempted arson
CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cranston Police Department announced that they arrested three individuals allegedly involved in an assault and attempted arson that occurred on April 27.
Cranston police arrested Brianna Wischnowsky, 20, of Warwick, and Drew Rappoport, 19, of Coventry, alongside a juvenile male on May 3.
Officers responded to a report of a “Molotov cocktail” being thrown from a moving vehicle at an occupied van on Greenwood St., the department said.
Police added that the incident was captured on video and no one was injured, and an investigation was immediately launched.
Investigators located the suspects’ vehicle the following day and found evidence that an incendiary device that was collected from the scene matched materials inside.
This evidence, alongside witness interviews, led to the identification and arrest of the three suspects.
