Cranston Police looking for bank robbery suspect

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) – The Cranston Police Department are looking for a suspect in a bank robbery that happened around 10:42 a.m. Thursday.

Police say the robbery took place at the Citizens Bank branch on Oaklawn Avenue. The suspect allegedly approached the bank’s front entrance from the southside of the parking lot near a bike path.

According to police, the suspect approached the teller and demanded cash. The suspect left the bank with an unknown amount of money, and was last seen walking back toward the bike path.

Police say no weapons were shown and no one was hurt.

Cranston police say the suspect is a white man wearing a grey and black Chevrolet ball cap and a camouflage mask. He was also wearing a black and grey Nike pullover, dark pants, and red sneakers. He also has a chest tattoo of what appears to be rosary beads near his neckline.
