Cranston police search for person who stole American flag from city hall

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Cranston police are looking for a person they said stole an American flag from city hall.

According to police, a person stole an American flag and also did acts of vandalism just after midnight Thursday.

Police said the person of interest came from the area of Park and Reservoir avenues.

The man was last seen walking north on Julia Street near Legion Way.

Police have released several surveillance photos.
