Cranston Police search for suspect in bank robbery

CRANSTON R.I (WLNE) – The Cranston Police Department is searching for a suspect who robbed a bank on Tuesday.

Police say the robbery happened at 4 p.m. at the Santander Bank on Broad Street.

The suspect is reportedly a white male, possibly in his 20s, approximately 5’6” and 180-190 lbs.

In a Facebook post, police say he was wearing black framed glasses and a dark face covering, a dark colored hat with a blue hooded sweatshirt, and a maroon puffy vest over the sweatshirt. Both were unzipped.

He also wore a construction yellow shirt underneath his outer layers, dark colored cloth gloves, light colored jogger sweatpants, and light brown work boots. He was carrying a brown tote bag with long handles and spoke with a “soft tone.”
