Cranston Police seeking help to identify shoplifter

CRANSTON, R.I. – The Cranston Police Department Detective Division is seeking help to identify a suspect from a shoplifting at the Rite Aid at 548 Dyer Avenue.

Authorities say in August, 2016, a female in her late 20s or 30s, wearing jean shorts and a white tank-top, entered the Rite Aid and took high value merchandise off of the shelf.

Surveillance footage shows that she then quickly exited the store without paying for the goods.

Police say the suspect is described as having dirty-blond hair and was seen carrying a black handbag.
