Cranston, state officials encourage others to become organ donors

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Officials hosted a news conference Friday to encourage Rhode Islanders to become an organ donor.

Cranston Mayor Ken Hopkins, Division of Motor Vehicles officials, and New England Donor Services were among those in attendance to promote becoming an organ donor.

Those in attendance echoed the importance of becoming an organ donor.

In 2022, 1,32 lives were saved in New England due to organ donors.
