Cranston to celebrate Greek culture with annual weekend festival

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Traditional Greek food and dance will return to Cranston this weekend.

The annual festival attract thousands of people to come together and celebrate Greek culture at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church on Oaklawn Avenue.

The public can come get their souvlaki and kourabiedes fix starting on Friday evening.

Festivities will be held from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

The Odyssey Dance Troupe will perform at 7 p.m. on Friday, and at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Cranston’s festival is always held in early September, following the festival in Pawtucket in August.
