Crash in East Greenwich sends 6 to hospital

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WLNE) — Six people were taken to the hospital after a car crashed into a tree in East Greenwich early Friday morning.

The crash happened just after midnight at the intersection of South County Trail and Middle Road.

The East Greenwich Firefighters Union told ABC 6 News that three people were taken to Rhode Island Hospital, two others to Hasbro Children’s Hospital, and one to Kent Hospital.

No further information was immediately released.
