Crews battle 4-acre brush fire in Seekonk

SEEKONK, Mass. (WLNE) — About four acres of land caught fire in Seekonk last week.
Seekonk police and fire crews tackled flames that extended to the area of Jacob Street to Prospect Street on Friday.
“Please take care when permitted burning and when disposing of ashes and other fire debris,” the Seekonk Fire Department said in a social media post.
Firefighters from neighboring Rehoboth and East Providence assisted crews in getting the brush fire under control.
Crews from Swansea and Attleboro also assisted by patrolling the town in the meantime.
