Crews battle a heavy fire inside one Fall River home

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE)- Emergency response crews were called to a fire inside a home on Marchand Street in Fall River.

ABC6 News Crews arrived to the scene to see smoke still escaping from the roof of the house.

Traffic was blocked off from Eastern Avenue to McGowan Street by police.

Fall River Fire confirmed details with ABC6 News at the scene. Two people were inside the home when the fire broke out.

The fire first started at 3 p.m. on the first floor of the house. The house sustained significant damage as a result.

One woman was evaluated at the scene and found to be in stable condition, one man was transported to the hospital.
