East Greenwich apartment building emanating flames for the second time in one night

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WLNE)- Fire crews tackled a heavy blaze twice inside an East Greenwich apartment building Friday night.

ABC6 News Crews were live on Duke Street and reported multiple units tackling the scene.

East Greenwich Fire confirmed after their first battle that multiple people were displaced from the fire, but no injuries were reported.

The building housed four apartment units.

Red Cross has been contacted to assist those effected.

Fire Marshals investigated the fire, a cause is unknown at this time.

Shortly after 10 p.m. firefighters were called back to the scene as the roof of the building began emanating flames.

ABC6 News Crews were once again live on the scene as crews battled the second blaze.
