Crews Called to Partial Roof Collapse in Pawtucket
Pawtucket fire crews were called to 120 Webster St. shortly before 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, for reports of a partial roof collapse.
According to officials, a construction crew was working on tearing down an old smoke stack, when some of the bricks fell on the roof, causing it to collapse. No construction workers were hurt, due to safety precautions the company took.
Officials also tell ABC6 News that the collapse was due to dilapidated conditions the smoke stack was in, and not a result of the work the construction crew was doing.
Fire crews were called to the scene to help clean up the debris, as well as help the construction crew get the buildings sprinkler system damaged in the collapse, restored.
An Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) crew was called to the scene to investigate the accident.
