Crews respond to fire in Jamestown church basement

JAMESTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) – The Jamestown Fire Department responded to an alarm at the Central Baptist Church Thursday morning.

Crews found an active fire in the basement area near the main electrical panel.

There was no structural damage to the property.

Officials say it appears that the fire was related to water entering the building during the overnight storm.
