Crews respond to fire involving dozens of vehicles in Freetown

FREETOWN, Mass. (WLNE) — Freetown fire crews responded to a reported brush fire that turned out to be dozens of vehicles on fires on South Main St. Saturday night.

Fire officials shared on their Facebook page that they were called to the scene at 11 p.m. on New Years Eve.

They arrived at Copart Auto Auction complex to find 15 to 20 vehicles on fire with another 100 vehicles in range of catching fire.

Crews were able to put out the blaze and confirmed 30 vehicles in total were effected by the fire.
