CT School Staffers Get COVID-19 Vaccine Early by Mistake
Error Put the Private School on the Eligible List
NEW LONDON, C.T. (WLNE) -A mistake allowed employees at a private school in Connecticut to get the COVID-19 vaccine early. The shots were meant only for health care workers and those in nursing homes.
The head of the Williams School in New London says he was notified in late December that his school had been classified by the state as part of a “critical infrastructure group”. That made them eligible to be part of the first group of state residents to receive the vaccine.
Mark Fader says 11 employees got the shots. Then on December 29, the school was notified it was added to the list by mistake.
No word yet as to what caused the mix-up.
