CVS adds 34 new vaccine sites in Massachusetts, 4 in Rhode Island
WOONSOCKET, R.I (WLNE) – CVS announced on Thursday they will be able to administer the coronavirus vaccine at an additional 34 pharmacy locations across Massachusetts.
According to a CVS spokesperson, the appointments for the latest allocation of doses will be available starting on Saturday, March 13.
The new additions bring Massachusetts to a total of 85 vaccination sites.
“We’re proud to play a part in increasing access to the vaccine to as many people as possible to enable reopening efforts in the communities we serve,” said Neela Montgomery, President of CVS Pharmacy and Executive Vice President, CVS Health.
“Feedback on every aspect of the vaccination process has been incredibly positive, from the digital experience to interacting with our team of health care professionals whose incredible efforts are helping to move us one step closer towards the eventual end of the pandemic”, she continued.
Vaccines at the participating locations in Massachusetts will be available to those who meet the eligibility criteria, as well as school teachers and staff.
CVS has also announced four additional locations in Rhode Island, bringing the state total to 14.
This also includes availability for teachers, which was previously announced.
