On Friday, August 2, members of the Dartmouth Police Department Marine Patrol assisted three paddle boarders who were in distress near Dumpling Rocks.

While Patrolmen Manny DeMelo and Joseph Rapoza were patrolling the waters just outside of Padnaram Harbor, they observed three female paddle boarders waving their arms and yelling for assistance.

The females advised the officers that they had been pulled off course due to a change in the wind and current, and asked for a ride back to shore.
