Dartmouth mass vaccination site to open Wednesday

DARTMOUTH, M.A. (WLNE) — Bristol County’s first mass vaccination site is set to open to eligible residents beginning Wednesday.

The site is inside of a former Circuit City store located at 456 State Road in Dartmouth.

It is run by Curative Inc. and will begin administering 500 doses of Pfizer and BioNTech’s Coronavirus vaccine daily.

They expect to increase to more than 3000 vaccinations daily once state and federal supply levels allow.

Appointments have been available online since Thursday and are completely booked through March 10.

“To have that mass vaccination site open will be a lifesaver for this region,” state senator Mark Montigny told ABC6.

Currently in Massachusetts, residents over 65, first responders, those with two or more co-morbidities, and residents and staff at affordable senior housing and low-income housing are eligible to get vaccinated.
