UPDATE: Police arrest three linked to an armed robbery

DARTMOUTH, MASS (WLNE) – Police made three arrests linked with an alleged assault at the Capri Motel from Saturday.

On Saturday, May 18, 2019, Dartmouth Police were dispatched to the Capri Motel for a reported disturbance at approximately 7:25 a.m.

According to police, upon arrival, officers located a 30-year-old male from Roxbury lying on the ground in the parking lot.

After speaking with the man, it was learned that he had allegedly been assaulted with a knife and robbed of $100 by three unidentified subjects. 

Police say the subjects reportedly fled in a vehicle after the robbery. 

The male victim was transported to the hospital after complaining of pain.

The department says as police were actively investigation the incident, they were once again dispatched to the Capri Motel at around 3:00 p.m after being notified that the suspects had returned. 

Police have identified and arrested 35-year-old, Anilton Martins, 22-year-old Mathew McDermott, and 36-year-old Tiffany Morgado as a result of their investigation.  All suspects are from Fall River.

All three were charged with armed robbery, assault with a dangerous weapons, assault and battery, intimidation of a witness, and conspiracy to commit a crime. 

Police say in addition to her charges, Morgado had five outstanding warrants, and was charged with providing a false name to police, and McDermott had two outstanding warrants and was also charged with providing a false name
