Dartmouth Police seek help to find armed robbery suspect

DARTMOUTH, M.A. – Dartmouth Police are searching for a suspect who assaulted a customer at a gas station early Friday evening.

According to police, officers responded around 6:00 p.m. for the report of an armed robbery at a Shell Gas Station located at the intersection of State Road and Reed Road.

Authorities say the male victim was robbed and beaten with a fire arm while in the store.

The victim was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford.

A K-9 unit was brought to the scene to search the area, but the suspect remains at large and is described by police as a black male, around 5’9’’, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and sneakers.
