Dates for remainder of 2023 WaterFire season

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — WaterFire Providence is already on its third month of the season.
ABC 6 News is taking the show on the road Friday to WaterFire for a partial lighting at the Waterplace Basin.
July 14’s lighting is supported by Check the Stigma Hockey Classic to benefit Horizon Healthcare Partners. The lighting will start at 8:19 p.m. and end at 10:30 p.m.
“[The event] highlight[s] the importance of mental health, substance use, and suicide prevention efforts in Rhode Island,” explained Cliff Cabral, CEO of Horizon Healthcare Partners.
The 2023 WaterFire season kicked off with a preseason lighting on April 1. The braziers will be shut off for the season on Nov. 4 with WaterFire’s Salute to Veterans.
Here’s the schedule for the remainder of the 2023 season:
Saturday, July 22
Full lighting supported Amica Insurance and Bank of America from sunset to midnight.
Saturday, Aug. 19
Full lighting supported by Cox Business and Cox Media from sunset to midnight.
Saturday, Sept. 2
Partial lighting for Labor Day weekend from sunset to midnight.
Saturday, Sept. 9
Full lighting and PVDFest from sunset to midnight.
Saturday, Sept. 30
Full lighting supported by the Department of Education, XQ Institute and Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation from sunset to 11 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 4
WaterFire’s Salute to Veterans from sunset to 10 p.m.
According to its website, every year, WaterFire draws about 1 million people to the capital city to experience the art in Providence.
