David Pastrnak and Alexander Khokhlachev Sent to P-Bruins

BOSTON – Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, December 19, that forward David Pastrnak will join the Providence Bruins (American Hockey League) on a conditioning loan. Pastrnak will join the team on Saturday and will be available for Providence’s game at Springfield. Sweeney also announced that the team has assigned Alexander Khokhlachev to the Providence Bruins.

Pastrnak has appeared in 10 games with Boston this season, registering two goals and two assists for four points with eight penalty minutes. In total, the 19-year-old has skated in 56 games in a Bruins uniform, totaling 12 goals and 19 assists for 31 points with a plus-nine rating. At the conclusion of his rookie season in 2015, Pastrnak was named the winner of NESN’s Seventh Player Award, presented to the Bruin who exceeded the expectations of Bruins fans during the 2014-15 season.

The 6’0”, 167-pound native of Havirov, Czech Republic was drafted by the Bruins in the first round (25th overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

Khokhlachev skated in two games for the Bruins after being recalled on December 16. In his NHL career, the 22-year-old has appeared in eight games in a Bruins uniform. This season in Providence, Khokhlachev has played in 17 games, tallying six goals and 14 assists for 20 points. The 14 assists currently lead the team.

The 5’10”, 181-pound native of Moscow, Russia was drafted by the Bruins in the second round (40th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
