Death of Middletown man ruled accidental

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The Middletown Police Department said after a comprehensive investigation, they ruled the death of a man found in his home as accidental.

According to police, on March 14, at approximately 11:30 a.m., they responded to 916 West Main Road to check the wellbeing of 39-year-old John Corbett.

When officers arrived, they said they located Corbett deceased in the home.

Middletown police worked with the state’s Medical Examiners Office to determine Corbett’s cause of death.

Based on their investigation, authorities said his death was deemed accidental and no foul play is expected.

No further information was immediately released.
