Delta Airlines employee mistakenly arrested during FBI drill

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — An airline pilot staying at a Boston hotel was arrested by mistake during a training exercise by the FBI, our sister-station WCVB NewsCenter 5 reports.

Officials told Channel 5, a Delta Airlines employee was handcuffed and interrogated for 30 minutes before agents realized their error.

A spokesperson confirmed the pilot was mistakenly arrested at 10 p.m. at the Revere Hotel during the training between FBI in Boston and the U.S. Department of Defense.

The FBI said nobody was injured but no other information was immediately released.
