Department of Health recommends closing beach in Charlestown

CHARLESTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Health recommended closing a beach in Charlestown to swimmers on Thursday.

The Department of Health said Camp Watchaug Beach has high bacteria levels.

The Department of Health said they will continue to monitor the beach water quality throughout the summer.
