Department of Health reopens two beaches that were closed to swimming earlier this week

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Health has recommended reopening two beaches that were closed to swimmers on Thursday.
Goddard Park Beach in Warwick and Peabody’s Beach in Middletown were reopened as water quality tests showed that bacteria levels were back to safe amounts.
Officials said they will continue to monitor the bacteria levels and water quality through Labor Day, after which state beach facilities will close.
