Department of Health reports 50 new COVID Cases and 3 deaths
PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health announced 50 new positive COVID-19 cases and 3 COVID-19 related deaths on Thursday.
These new numbers bring the state’s cumulative total to 17,243 cases and 974 deaths.
According to the department, 55 people are currently hospitalized, with 3 of them needing a ventilator.
The state-administered 267,433 tests total, returning 250,190 negative results.
Governor Raimondo is set to have a briefing on the state’s response to COVID-19 tomorrow at 1:00 PM.
