Department of Health to hold virtual briefing on vaccines

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Health is set to hold a virtual meeting to discuss the state’s vaccination effort.
The briefing is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon and it will be run by the Director for RIDOH, Dr. Alexander-Scott.
Dr. Alexander-Scott will be joined by:
- Philip Chan, MD, MS, Consultant Medical Director, Division of Preparedness, Response, Infectious Disease and Emergency Medical Services, RIDOH
- Tricia Washburn, Chief, Center for Preventive Services, RIDOH, Co-Lead, COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Workgroup.
- Alysia Mihalakos, Chief, Center for Emergency Preparedness and Response, RIDOH, Co-Lead, COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Workgroup.
The Department’s most recent release show that 11,935 Rhode Island residents have taken their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
