Dighton celebrates third annual Firecracker Festival

DIGHTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Dighton’s Department of Parks and Recreation hosted the town’s third annual Firecracker Festival on Saturday.
The event featured face painting, games, prizes and a “Sink the SROs” dunk tank, as well as touch-a-truck opportunities from the police and fire departments.
“We started this after the lifting of Covid restrictions in 2021 as a chance to bring the community together,” Parks and Recreation Commission Chairman Kevin Smith Jr. said. “We were fortunate to have our local high school’s marching band perform our National Anthem for us, which was spectacular.”
The Dighton Lions Club and Faneek’s Coney Island provided food and drinks.
