Diocese of Providence ordains new priest

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Diocese of Providence performed an ordination ceremony for a new member of the priesthood Saturday morning.

Deacon Patrick Ryan was ordained at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul by Bishop Richard Henning.

The diocese said that the ordination was Henning’s first since he became the ninth Bishop of Providence.
