Diocese of Providence to host special collection for Hurricane Ian relief efforts

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Diocese of Providence will be having a special collection to aid in relief efforts for Hurricane Ian.

Bishop Thomas Tobin announced the special collections will take place at parishes the next two weekends.

Funds that are raised will go to the Catholic Charities USA and will help provide shelter, food, water, medical care and other needs.

Those wishing to donate can also send check to Diocesan Services Corporation with the attention ‘Hurricane Relief at One Cathedral Square, Providence, R.I. 02903.
