DMV To Reopen Middletown Branch

CRANSTON, R.I (WLNE) – In keeping with the Governor’s efforts to re-open the state, The R.I DMV announced they will reopen its Middletown branch on May 18.

The branch located at 52 Valley Road in Middletown will re-open with expanded hours, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“The Division has continued serving customers since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic with a reservation service at our Cranston headquarters,” said DMV Administrator Walter R. “Bud” Craddock.

“The reservation service, coupled with adherence to the COVID-19 procedures recommended by R.I. Department of Health will allow us to return service to one of our busiest locations. Aquidneck Islanders and others will appreciate the return of in-person DMV services to their part of the state”, he continued.

Residents are reminded that expiration dates for driver’s license, inspection stickers, and registrations that were due to expire in March-May, have been extended for 90 days.

Service at the Middletown branch will be reservation only.
