Dog found inside of porta-potty inside taped box – officials ask public for leads

BROOKLINE, Mass. (WLNE) – The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty against Animals found a female corgi-mix in a taped-up box in a porta-potty.

The five-year-old dog was found at 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 9 at a construction site located at 19 Colchester Street in Brookline. Officers brought the dog – who had broken her head and two front legs from the box to the Angell Animal Medical Center where she was evaluated by medical staff. The dog is unharmed and stable, but frightened. She is now resting at the MSPCA’s Jamaica Plain adoption center, where she’ll spend the next seven days in stray hold, afterwards she will be brought to her new home.

The dog had no microchip, collar, or identification tags.
