Dog that attacked boy may not be current on shots

Providence Animal Control says a dog who mauled a 12-year-old boy might not be current on it's rabies shots.

Jason Feit had to get 36-stitches after a loose dog attacked him while playing baseball in Providence.

A few days later the dog was seized by Animal Control but the people caring for it say the owner is out of town.

The owner and the care takers have not been able to provide a certificate of vaccination. Fiet has already started rabies treatments.

Animal control hopes the owner will sign over the dog to them to be euthanized but if not the city will hold a viciousness hearing.
