PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Big Brothers Big Sisters Rhode Island pairs bigs and littles in the state hoping to transform lives. They do so through an array of programs and activities funded by donation boxes.

Their clothing collection bins bring in millions of pounds of products every year and keeps it out of the state’s landfills.

While that is a win itself, officials said the added benefit is the money the donation bins bring in accounts for 70% of the non-profit’s operates budget.
