CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WLNE)- A dozen people were without a home Monday night after a blaze attacked a multi-family in Central Falls.

The flames broke out at the multi-family home around 4:oo pm on Barber Avenue.

Rescue crews from multiple departments responded including Lincoln, Pawtucket, and North Providence.

The Central Falls Fire Chief says everyone was able to get out safely, but the home is a complete loss.

“We were fortunate it’s not freezing cold today, so the conditions were in our favor. Unfortunately, this house is a total loss at this point,” says the fire chief.

The state fire marshall says the fire started on the homes first floor.
