PAWTUCKET, R.I. — More than a dozen students at Goff Junior High School were sent home sick Tuesday.

According to Superintendent Patricia DiCenso, 36 students were sent home.

“704 students out of 740 students were present at Goff Middle School,” said Superintendent DiCenso.

DiCenson says a substitute school nurse sent thirteen students home due to illness.

The superintendent says she is monitoring the situation.

“We are monitoring students who were sent home even though the number of students is very small on a percentage basis, I will confer with the experts at the Department of Health tomorrow morning in an abundance of caution.”
