Dr. Katee LoMonaco elected President of RI Veterinary Medical Association

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Veterinary Medical Association (RIVMA) has elected Dr. Katee LoMonaco to lead the 250 members in promoting animal welfare, veterinary medicine, and public health.
LoMonaco takes the position at an important moment, the field has a demand for services to make sure the safety and care of animals is paramount. This demand is also met with a rising need for more safety for veterinary healthcare workers.
“Serving in this role is both an honor and a privilege, and I am committed to RIVMA promoting Rhode Island as a national leader in veterinary medical practices and animal welfare,” said Dr. LoMonaco. “It is imperative that we continue to recruit and retain the best veterinary professionals for our state, ensure renewed patient-client-veterinarian relationships, support our local vets and, of course, deliver the best care possible to animals.”
Dr. LoMonaco has been apart of the RIVMA since 2017 and an associate of Scituate Animal Hospital since 2014, providing wellness, medical, surgical, dental, and acupuncture services for patients, developing long lasting relationships between the LoMonaco and her clients.
