Dr. Nicole Alexander-Scott sets March 1 date for new position as consultant to the RIDOH

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Rhode Island Department of Health has confirmed that Dr. Nicole Alexander-Scott has signed a consultant contract as her time as Health Director comes to a close.

Dr. Alexander-Scott will continue to advise on the COVID-19 pandemic, the transitions the department faces with the ongoing pandemic and administration changes, and the merger between Rhode Island’s two largest hospital systems- Lifespan and Care New England.

The 3-month contract begins on March 1 at $46,000 per month, and will end in May, totaling $138,000.
