‘Drive-Thru’ Food Bank at McCoy Stadium

PAWTUCKET, R.I (WLNE) – A food distribution event, hosted by Ocean State Job Lot, in cooperation with the city of Pawtucket, was held at McCoy Stadium on Wednesday morning.

Volunteers from The PawSox, Ocean State Job Lot and the City of Pawtucket loaded goods into car trunks while supplies last.

According to a PawSox spokesperson, they had about 24 pallets of goods.

The City’s Emergency Management Department invited approximately 300 families to the ‘drive-thru’, according to the PawSox spokesperson.

Each year, the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation provides more than 12 million meals through its Thre Square Meals program to food banks and pantries across the northeast.
