PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ The getaway driver for a Barrington bank robbery has been sentenced to more than 11 years in federal prison.

U.S. District Judge William Smith on Friday sentenced 33-year-old David Lasseque, of Providence, to 11 years, 8 months for his part in the July 2013 robbery at a Bank of America branch.

Lasseque was convicted of conspiracy to commit bank robbery and bank robbery in June.

His co-defendant, 34-year-old Pierre Rheau, of Providence, pleaded guilty in May to conspiracy to commit bank robbery and armed bank robbery and was sentenced earlier this month to five years, three months.

They got $4,871 in the robbery.

Lasseque’s lawyer says he plans to appeal.
