Driver in Car Crash Into House Faces Charges
The driver of a vehicle that plowed into a Cranston home is facing charges in connection with the crash, and police say he was also involved in a hit-and-run crash in Providence just moments before.
The driver, a 51 year old male from Cranston, is charged with a stop sign violation, laned roadway violations, Operating on a Suspended License, Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle, and Operating without Evidence of Insurance.
The crash happened around 430pm Thursday, leaving the driver's black Ford Mustang in the front bedroom of a home at 60 Chestnut Hill Avenue. A witness tells ABC6 News that the car came speeding through the intersection, took out a stop sign, and ended up in the house.
The driver of the car, as well as two people inside the house at the time, were shaken up after the crash, but no one was seriously hurt.
