Driver injured in Fall River crash after report of shots fired

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Fall River police say a driver was injured after a crash and a report of shots fired on Wednesday night.

The crash happened on the 300 block of Fourth Street at about 7 p.m. after a call for shots fired in the area.

Police say the driver sped off at first and was found by responding officers.

The driver, a 32-year-old man, was brought to a nearby hospital with injuries stemming from the crash. He has since been treated and released.

A juvenile passenger was not injured.

The incident is under investigation.
