Driver mistakenly drives on bike path in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) – An elderly driver, in search of the the route 10 on-ramp, drove on to the bike path in Cranston on Saturday.

The driver, though she was on a roadway when in search of the on-ramp.

Many people were out on the bike path that had to dodge the vehicle.

No one was hurt during the incident.

The driver was cited for driving on the bike path, her vehicle was towed, and Cranston Police seized her driver’s license.

Since the incident, the drivers information has been forwarded to the Rhode Island DMV so they can determine if the individuals license should be permanently revoked.
