Drug Arrest made in Portsmouth

PORTSMOUTH, R.I (WLNE) – Portsmouth police made an arrest on Thursday on 10:41 a.m. 

The suspect, identified as Ashley Pierce, was observed traveling in a vehicle on Route 24 North near Cedar Island. 

According to police, Pierce was pulled over because they had knowledge of an active bench warrant for her arrest. 

During the stop, Police say they found 25 grams of heroin, Suboxone, packing materials, a scale, and a pair of brass knuckles in the vehicle.

Pierce is facing charges of: Possession with Intent to Deliver, Possession of schedule I, II, III, IV, V drugs, and possession of a weapon other than firearms. 

Pierce will be arraigned Friday morning at 2nd District Court.
