Dry and breezy today, warming into the 80s tomorrow
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Today is another Red Flag Warning day from 10am to 7pm. Wind gust today will be 20-30 mph until about 6 p.m. when those winds start to taper off.
Temperatures will be back in the 70s today. Over the last 24 hours we have seen quite the temperature change some of us seeing 20-30 degree difference.
Thursday and Friday we warm up and temps reach the 80 degree mark tomorrow and Friday we might just break a record that was set in 1945 for 83 degrees. Will be see 84? it’s very possible with this set up. The last time we saw an 80 degree day was on Sept. 18, 2022.
For the weekend, we start to cool back down as the temperatures drop, but we are still coming in above average for our daytime highs. The next system starts to make it’s way into our area on Sunday into Monday with our chances of rain starting to increase and temperature heading back to the normal range by Monday.
