Dry Times in Southern New England
High pressure will dominate this week keeping it very dry. We already have abnormally dry conditions in the region and with a little heat and wind, we will have an elevated chance of fire weather conditions Tuesday. High temperatures will top out near 80 and winds will gust to 30 mph and given the long dry stretch, brush fires will be easy to start, quick to spread and difficult to contain. Tuesday night we will bring through a strong cold front that will drop temperatures Wednesday and Thursday. If you planted anything, you should be aware that tender vegetation may be at risk with a frost and freeze possible with overnight lows in the mid-30s. Friday looks sunny and seasonable with highs in the upper-60s.
