Dyami Starks Named NEC Player of the Week for Fourth Time

Bryant news release…

SMITHFIELD, R.I. — Coming off an impressive week in which he put up
27 points per game and led the Bryant University men's basketball team
to a perfect 2-0 week, junior guard Dyami Starks (Duluth, Minn.) earned his fourth Choice Hotels/Northeast Conference Player of the Week, announced Monday.

Starks shot a blistering 58.6 percent from the field (17-29), 60.0
percent from three-point range (9-15), 91.7 percent from the line
(11-12), and to top it off, scored his 1,000th career point in an 87-79
win over LIU Brooklyn on Thursday night.  He finished with 23 in the
win, including 5-9 from outside the arc. Two days later, the junior
sharpshooter posted his fifth 30+ point game of the season, dropping 31
as the Bulldogs won their fourth straight game and improved to 5-1 in
NEC play with an 83-79 triumph over St. Francis Brooklyn.

Starks now leads the league with 20.5 ppg (21st in the country), and
ranks second in 3PFG (3.4/game) and third in FT percentage (.866).

Despite holding sole possession of second place in the NEC standings,
the road ahead doesn't get any easier for the Bulldogs as they head to
Moon Township, Pa., for a primetime showdown with unbeaten Robert
Morris, Thursday night on ESPNU (8 p.m.).
