Early voting begins for Rhode Island’s general election

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Early voting begins in Rhode Island on Wednesday with the general election only 20 days away.

Registered voters can stop at any board of canvassers or designated location across the state during the days leading to Election Day to submit an early ballot.

Tuesday was the deadline for Rhode Islanders to request a mail-in ballot.

Early voting will start in Massachusetts on Oct. 22, and the deadline to submit a mail-in ballot application is Nov. 1.

The election is on Nov. 8.
