East Greenwich man faces OUI charges in crash at Massachusetts gas station

NORFOLK, Mass. (WLNE) — An East Greenwich man is facing charges after a crash at a gas station in Norfolk, Massachusetts that left his box truck dangling over a wall.

Police were called just before 2 p.m. on Wednesday for reports of a crash at the Daley Service Center on Rockwood Road.

Officers gathered that a box truck hit a traffic island, crashed into a gas pump, and struck two vehicles and an aerial lift before finally breaking through a fence and coming to a stop with its two front fires hanging over a wall.

The driver, 54-year-old Keith Johnson, was brought to a hospital and was released into police custody on OUI-related charges.

Johnson was arraigned Thursday in Wrentham District Court.

He was released on personal recognizance.
